FOUNDER & DESIGN DIRECTOR

Suzie has over 20 years of industry experience following completion of her Degree at Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK. Her career started with 4 years of employment at Halliday Meecham Architects located in Manchester, in an interior design and AutoCAD documentor role. Following this, Suzie relocated to Perth, Western Australia, where she worked with MKDC for over 7 years, progressing into a Senior Designer role. In search of new challenges, she moved to State28 2017 and took the position of Design Principal, where she led the studio's team for 3 years before leaving for maternity leave. Following this in 2020, Suzie opened Storyline Designs, which had been an ambition of hers for a long time.

Suzie is a dynamic and aspiring Design Director with highly developed communication skills & ability to engender a team spirit. Her vast array of project experience offers diversity and confidence to clients. Suzie is extremely process driven & loves being organised! She feels this is fundamental to ensuring a successful outcome to each and every project she works on. Her highly developed creative skills are not to be missed. Team this with her excellent Project Management expertise and client liaison skills, and you have a winning formula.
 

Suzie is also passionate about mentoring and supporting the next generation of the design industry through mentorship & work experience placements. This is something Suzie has actively pursued over the last decade. The respect and trust Suzie has endeared with her peers in the design community is a testament to her character. She’s an aspirational Designer.

INTERIOR DESIGNER & BDM

Umut is a welcomed addition to the Storyline Designs team, bringing a wealth of creativity, knowledge and passion to her role as Designer and Business Development Manager. An exceptional designer with a natural ability to both absorb and share knowledge, she brings valuable insight and a fresh perspective to each project she is involved in. Umut’s outgoing and enthusiastic nature allows her to connect effortlessly with clients, industry professionals and those around her, making her a natural fit within the business development side of the studio. She approaches each opportunity with curiosity, confidence and a strong attention to detail, while her passion for design is reflected in her willingness to explore new ideas, embrace different perspectives and continually expand her knowledge. Umut values collaboration and enjoys sharing her own experience while equally learning from those around her. With her energetic personality, creative thinking and ability to build meaningful connections, Umut has quickly become a valued member of the Storyline Designs team, contributing to both the creative direction and continued growth of the studio.

Denise is a valued member of the Storyline Designs team, bringing creativity, enthusiasm and a thoughtful approach to everything she does. Denise enjoys exploring creative ideas and considering the finer details that help shape thoughtful and well-resolved spaces. INTERIOR DESIGNER

 Tandia is an aspiring Senior Interior Designer and graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Interior Architecture and a minor in Marketing. Her passion for all aspects of design is continually expanding as she incorporates the knowledge she has accumulated from various life experiences, along with her understanding of culture and creativity. 

Tandia believes that physical places have the capacity to elicit emotions, relive memories, and even inspire the development of fresh ones. Being deliberate in our work is crucial because we are aware that every choice we make in the design process has an impact. With her strong desire to learn and her ability to work in a team environment, Tandia’s work thrives when she is collaborating with others in a creative environment, where ideas are generated, and problems are resolved. 

Her keen eye for detail, paired with her warm and enthusiastic approach to design is a valued asset to the Storyline Designs Team. Tandia’s infectious personality brightens the studio, and you’ll rarely find her without a notebook in hand and that gorgeous smile on her face.

Jenna is a welcomed addition to the Storyline Designs team, bringing creativity, enthusiasm and a natural eye for style to her role as Retail and Styling Manager. With a passion for creating beautiful and considered spaces, Jenna has an instinctive ability to bring together furniture, finishes and decorative elements in a way that feels cohesive, inviting and effortlessly styled. Her warm and outgoing nature allows her to build genuine connections with those around her, while her organised and thoughtful approach ensures every detail is carefully considered. Jenna thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working closely with the team and clients to transform ideas into spaces that feel personal and complete.
