JTS Hairstylists

Storyline Designs was appointed to redesign & refresh the existing JTS hair salon in Belmont Forum.  The existing space was looking tired and was in need of an upgraded identity. Servicing both male & female clientele, the design needed to suit both men’s barber & women’s hair salon aesthetics. There was a lot of chrome & stainless steel finishes within the space already, so we decided to exaggerate this in the palette, instead of trying to mask this. 

Adding tones of black & white, and playing with texture, was important to create interest & depth in the space.  Removing the previous colour tones allowed the black, white & metal finishes palette to bring a level of luxury & sophistication.  Functionality was also key, ensuring the salon could continue to run smoothly, designing for the today processes of the hair salon, improving the services within the tenancy.  The client & existing clients couldn’t believe the transformation and we thrilled with the end result.
